Configuring the data provider waterfall

A waterfall ordered to your preference, with the option to disable specific providers. Controls which provider is queried first when revealing contact info, separately for each contact type.

CLIENT-ONLY · How-To

A provider order that suits your market, with unwanted providers disabled.

  • Admin or Owner access.
  1. Go to Settings, then the Data enrichment tab.
  2. The page shows two waterfalls: Email and Phone. They’re separate because the provider landscape is: there are simply more email providers than phone providers, so each contact type gets its own optimized sequence.
  3. Each lists providers in query order, top to bottom.
  4. To reorder: drag a provider up or down.
  5. To disable: toggle it off. Disabled providers are skipped.
  6. Changes save automatically.

The order in Settings matches what you set. After your next reveal, the result shows which provider matched; frequently used ones should sit near the top.

That per-contact provider name is also your compliance answer: when a candidate asks where you got their details, you point to the named provider (Lusha, ContactOut, and so on).

  • Disabled provider still in spend history. History shows past events. Future reveals skip it.
  • Order keeps resetting. Refresh after editing. If it persists, contact support.
  • The default order is optimized for global hit rate. Customize only with a specific reason (e.g. better local coverage).
  • Disable providers with compliance concerns rather than hoping they won’t be hit.
  • Reorder the email and phone waterfalls separately; the best provider for email isn’t always best for phone.
  • Review quarterly; provider quality shifts.
