Connect your email account (Gmail / Outlook)

A connected Gmail or Outlook inbox that sends campaign messages from your professional address and receives replies in your normal inbox.

CLIENT-ONLY · How-To

An email account connected, sending from your professional address, with replies landing in your inbox.

  • A Hunter, Strategist, or Oracle plan
  • Access to the account you want to connect
  • For Workspace / Microsoft 365: admin approval if your IT restricts third-party app authorization
  1. Go to Settings and open the Accounts tab. [GAP: confirm exact tab name, Accounts or Integration.]
  2. Click Connect email account.
  3. Choose Gmail or Outlook.
  4. Sign in to your provider and authorize Wiggli to send on your behalf.
  5. Back in Wiggli, the account appears with Connected status.

Wiggli supports connecting more than one email account to the same workspace. Each connected account becomes selectable per step inside a campaign builder, so you can pick which inbox a given message comes from.

Two common reasons to connect multiple email accounts:

  • Distribute volume to protect deliverability. Email providers (Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365) penalize accounts that send too much too fast. New domains get throttled. Established accounts get flagged. Wiggli caps daily sends at 150 (Gmail) or 250 (Outlook/Microsoft) per connected sender, with warm-up ramping over the first 28 days. For larger volumes, three established senders at 80-85 emails per day each is safer than one inbox pushing 250 per day. The same volume, distributed, keeps every account healthy.
  • Use role-based inboxes for context. A recruitment@, talent@, or hr@ mailbox can be connected alongside personal addresses and selected per campaign or per step. Candidates respond differently to a clear recruitment alias than to a personal email, and replies on the role-based inbox stay separate from your personal communication.

To add another account: repeat the connection steps above signed in as the additional user, or with the credentials for the role-based mailbox. Each account is connected separately and authenticated with the provider.

Selecting which account a campaign step uses is done in the campaign builder, not here. See Build a multi-step outreach campaign.

The account shows Connected. Send a test campaign to yourself: the email sends, and your reply arrives in your normal inbox, not in Wiggli.

  • Connection fails. Confirm you can authorize third-party apps. Some Workspace/365 accounts need admin approval.
  • Stuck on “Connecting”. Disconnect, wait 30 seconds, reconnect.
  • 2FA blocks the flow. Complete 2FA on the provider side first.
  • Slow sends on day 1. New accounts start at 50/day. See Email sending limits and account warm-up.
  • Replies not in Wiggli. Expected. Replies land in your connected inbox, not the notification center.
  • Use a professional address, not a personal Gmail.
  • Connect your own mailbox rather than relying on the Wiggli Email default sender. The default sender is a legacy fallback with weaker deliverability and almost no delivery or open tracking, so campaigns on it look empty in analytics even when messages go out. Sending from your connected account is what gives you real deliverability and real metrics.
  • Set up your email signature before launching any campaign.
  • For high-volume outreach, connect multiple senders rather than pushing one account to its cap. See Connecting multiple email accounts above.
