Contact info wasn't found, was I charged?
I clicked reveal but no contact info came back. Was I charged?
CLIENT-ONLY · Troubleshoot
Short answer
Section titled “Short answer”Not if nothing was found. Credits are deducted the moment a provider returns a match. If the entire waterfall comes back empty, no credits are spent.
How to verify
Section titled “How to verify”- Go to
Settings, Wallet. - Check spend history. Every deduction is logged with the candidate’s name and contact type.
- If the candidate you revealed isn’t in the history, the waterfall didn’t return anything and no credits were charged.
I revealed and got several charges. Why?
Section titled “I revealed and got several charges. Why?”If you clicked Keep searching after the first hit, each additional provider that returned data deducted another set of credits. That’s expected: Wiggli pays the data provider for every successful lookup, so each find has a real cost.
To avoid this, stop at the first hit unless you specifically need a second source.
Why it happens
Section titled “Why it happens”No single provider has every candidate’s contact info. Wiggli queries 20+ providers; for some profiles, none return a match. This is normal, especially for:
- Junior candidates with a smaller digital footprint
- Candidates in restrictive privacy jurisdictions
- Profiles with minimal public information
- Candidates who have actively suppressed their data
What to try next
Section titled “What to try next”- Try the other contact type. If email came back empty, try phone, or vice versa. Different providers cover different types.
- Check the profile manually. If they have a clear LinkedIn presence, the contact info may genuinely not be available through any provider.
- Use LinkedIn outreach instead. If no contact info is found, the LinkedIn URL is still valid for LinkedIn campaigns.
I got several email addresses back. Which one is right?
Section titled “I got several email addresses back. Which one is right?”Some lookups return more than one address. Wiggli shows everything the provider returns rather than guessing which one is current, so you decide. Two practical options: run the addresses through a free email deliverability checker, or simply include all of them in your outreach. The credit covered the successful find, and every address that came back is part of it.
When to escalate
Section titled “When to escalate”If you see a deduction that doesn’t match a contact found on the profile, contact support with the candidate name and timestamp. The team can audit the wallet event and refund a genuine billing error.
