Using Wiggli Intelligence for business development

The same database, search, and outreach engine that finds candidates also finds clients. Wiggli runs business development alongside recruitment, in one workspace.

PUBLIC · Concept Explainer

If your day already mixes finding talent with finding new clients, this article shows how the same Wiggli muscles handle both, without you having to learn (or pay for) a second tool.

Agencies and consultancies usually run BD on a separate stack: Sales Navigator, a separate enrichment subscription, a separate outreach tool. Parallel stacks cost more and fragment your data, since each tool sees a different slice.

Wiggli covers BD natively. 65M+ company profiles, the contact waterfall, and the outreach engine work the same way for prospects as for candidates. Same workspace, same credits, same outreach protection. One platform for “find candidates” and “find clients.”

Find the right people. Target decision-makers by job title (Head of Talent, VP People, Founder, CTO), company size, industry, or geography. Layer in Company Insights to focus on companies that are growing, recently funded, or hiring. A prompt like “Heads of Talent at Series B SaaS companies in Benelux, 200-500 employees” extracts the criteria and surfaces matches.

Qualify with the AI Co-pilot. Save prospects to a project and ask questions a filter can’t answer: “Has this company hired in the last 90 days?” “Does this person manage a recruiting team?”

Reach out. Build a multi-step campaign tuned to a BD audience. Email plus LinkedIn works well. BD reply rates run lower than candidate outreach, so plan longer sequences and patient ramping.

Hand off to your CRM. When a prospect replies and the conversation turns into a real BD discussion, move it to your CRM (Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce). [GAP: confirm direct CRM integration vs manual handoff today.]

Recently funded companies, decision-maker outreach. Companies that closed a funding round in the last 6 months are actively hiring and have budget for recruiting partners. Combine the Funding Stage filter (Series A, B, or C) with the job title filter (Head of Talent, VP People, CEO, or Founder for smaller teams) and a geography that fits your market. The result is a list of decision-makers at companies that need talent now. Push to a BD campaign with a tailored pitch referencing recent funding as the opening hook.

Hiring momentum signal. Use Company Insights to surface companies with active open roles in your specialty (marketing, engineering, sales). A company hiring three marketing roles right now is more open to a recruiting conversation than one whose marketing team is stable. Filter for these signals, pull the decision-makers, run outreach.

Lookalike accounts to your best clients. Start from a known good client (industry, size, funding stage, location), use the Similar Profiles flow on the company, get a list of comparable companies, then surface the decision-makers at each. Same engine that finds candidate lookalikes finds company lookalikes.

  • Agencies running recruitment and BD side by side
  • Consultancies prospecting target accounts
  • Anyone whose ideal client looks like a specific role at a specific company type

Wiggli’s strength here is consolidation: the prospecting motion that usually needs its own toolset runs on the platform you already source in.
