Create a custom Intelligence Column

A new Intelligence Column that assesses every candidate against a criterion you define in plain language, with yes / no / unclear answers and a one-sentence reason.

CLIENT-ONLY · How-To

A custom column in your project that answers a specific screening question for every candidate.

  • A project with candidates added
  • An available custom AI Column slot (Explorer 1, Hunter 3, Strategist 5, Oracle unlimited)
  1. Open the project and open the AI Co-pilot panel (Wiggli’s in-project AI assistant).
  2. Type your instruction in plain language. Examples:
    • “Has this candidate worked in consultancy for at least 5 years?”
    • “Does the profile show fluent Dutch and French?”
    • “Is the candidate currently freelancing?”
    • “Filter to profiles with a phone number on file.”
  3. The Co-pilot tells you whether it will filter the view or create a new column.
  4. Confirm. It processes profiles one by one.

A new column appears. Each row shows yes, no, or unclear, plus a one-sentence reason. The header reflects your instruction.

  • “Plan limit reached.” You’ve hit your custom column cap. Delete an unused column or upgrade.
  • Co-pilot misunderstands. Rephrase more directly. Yes/no questions work better than open-ended ones.
  • Inaccurate answers. Open the reasoning. If it’s reading data wrong, refine the question. If data is missing, the answer should be “unclear”.
  • Column never finishes. Larger projects take time. Leave the tab open.
  • Frame questions as yes/no for clean filtering.
  • Ask for the reasoning explicitly: start instructions with “assess if the profile…” and add “give one sentence of evidence”. You get an auditable answer instead of a bare yes/no.
  • Be specific about thresholds: “at least 5 years” beats “experienced”.
  • Intelligence Columns are AI-assessed by design; there’s no column you type into by hand. Pipeline status (contacted, rejected, interviewing) belongs in your ATS or CRM after export, where that tracking already lives.
  • One question per column. Split compound questions into separate columns.
  • Spot-check the reasoning before trusting answers in bulk.
